Welcome to part three of “Colour in the Working Environment”

In last weeks blogs we covered the colour blue. To recap on some of its benefits the colour blue is said to be beneficial to health as it is said to be a calming colour, as well as helping to keep blood pressure levels stable especially if discussions become heated or disagreements occur in the office!!

This week we will be discussing various colours on the colour scheme including the colours green yellow, red and orange.

Green is recommended if you have a regular need for brainstorming. Conjuring up new ideas, racking brains, developing new concepts, is aide by the use of green in the office as it leads to increased creativity. It also helps to reduce stress levels and is a great colour to use where there is a lot of screen activity.

Yellow is said to energize and stimulate people and so is a good colour to use in a creative environment. It is recommended that you paint one wall yellow thereby using it as an accent colour, as too much yellow can have a negative impact on some people.

Red is recommended for use in areas where people have to work at night as it is said to stimulate brain activity.

Orange is a colour recommended for increased creativity and high energy areas. An exuberant colour, it encourages energy and passion as well as perseverance and persistence and it too is often used as an accent colour in the form of chairs, desks etc. or by using the colour on one wall only.

Stay tuned for our next blog which will include other colours on the colour scheme!
