Eames Chairs

Welcome to part 2 of our Eames Chair Series

In the 1950’s the couple continued their work in design and architecture and this led to more pioneering designs such as fiberglass furniture, plastic resin chairs and the now well known wire mesh chairs designed for Herman Miller. They wanted to develop furniture that could be mass-produced and affordable.

The exception to this was their most famous piece – known as the Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman. This is made from molded plywood and leather and was produced in 1956. It was the first chair designed by the talented duo for the high-end market. So impressive was the design that these furnishings are on permanent display in New York’s Museum of Modern Art.

Griffin Office Solutions currently have three new, Eames replica chairs in stock (as seen in the photo)

Colour: Black

This comfortable office chair has a low backrest, a softpad upholstery, and stainless steel arm rests. The chair can be tilted backward as well as adjusted in height. It has optimal mobility because of its wheels and chair base, which rotates a full 360 degrees.
