Making your office space more environmentally friendly can be a challenge below are some simple steps to help you get started!
Tip 1
Electricity …. Switch off those lights!!
We are all guilty of it I’m sure. It’s the end of the day and you’re in a rush to leave. You don’t switch off the computer. By turning off computers, printers, photocopiers, and other equipment that do not need to be left on this can help the environment!
At work do a quick check of the computers, are they set to their most energy efficient setting? Do they switch off if they haven’t been used after ten minutes? When leaving a room switch off the light! It may seem small but it can have a big impact by reducing the amount of carbon dioxide produced at power stations.
As much as possible, use natural light and switch from incandescent bulbs to fluorescent.
